In Spanish, Reposado means rested. Reposado tequila evolves primarily in American or French oak barrels. The beautiful caramel color develops as it sits in these barrels over the course of the aging process. What distinguishes Reposado is that it's rested in oak for no more than 364 days.
Flavor Profile: Earthy, spicy, vegetal with low acidity, and often herbaceous
Meaning "aged" in Spanish, Añejo tequila sits in American and French oak barrels no larger than 600 liter for 365 days or more. The dark, rich amber color and flavor of the tequila are enhanced the longer they age.
Ultra Extra Añejo ages in American and French oak barrels for 3 years or more.

Farmed at 6000 to 7200 feet in elevation, the red iron rich soil give the agave plant more residual sugar and grow larger. Although these is less rain, the roots grow deep which makes the plant work harder for its flavor.

Ranging from 2600 to 4500 in elevation, the rich and darker volcanic soils give the Blue Weber agave plant an earthy flavor.
